Art Fairs 101: Booth Set-up
Making your art fair booth a success.
The secret to setting up a successful art fair booth.
From one artist to another...this course includes all you need to know to set up a booth.
Several years ago I tried my first art fair. It was exciting, nerve-wracking, terrifying and excellent. I had enough success in that first fair to want to try more. While I broke even in that show, I could see that others didn't. Why?
I decided to take one you to do seven fairs around the country to see if art fairs are a good idea for artists to invest in...is it worth the risk?
After the year I had some good shows and some bad shows...in the end I broke even in art fair expenses and sales. But overall there is no doubt my business is in a far better place than when I started.
So, YES, art fairs are worth the risk.
I started this course to clarify the risks, share lessons learned, and help other artists with tips and tricks that help find art fair success.
Here's what's included in this course:
What to include in your art fair portfolio
Setting up a booth curatorial plan
The do's and don'ts of hanging a booth
Preparing an art fair tool box
What to expect on the install and uninstall days
